We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Card Credit Risk Policy Manager to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide effective credit support to meet business targets, while also contributing to the growth and development of our credit card business in India. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in consumer banking, with significant expertise in credit cards and credit risk policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement credit card policy frameworks, including acquisition and account management policies, processes, and workflows.
- Support the implementation of credit decision modules on the credit card technology platform.
- Manage credit card credit policy management and conduct MIS analytics for portfolio monitoring and regular reviews.
- Collaborate with product development, collections, systems, and operations teams to ensure product development and rollout objectives are met.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives.
- Monitor portfolio performance through structured early warning mechanisms.
- Ensure system changes align with product development and implement adequate controls.
- Assist in developing fintech partnerships, vendor empanelment, and UAT activities on system changes.
- Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines, including RBI/MAS regulations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage policies and processes for credit cards across the consumer retail portfolio in India.
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of product programs.
- Conduct regular asset quality reviews and provide analytics insights to identify risks and opportunities.
- Review and update credit policies and program risk acceptance criteria in response to changes in legal/regulatory requirements, business strategies, or market environment.
- Drive portfolio management initiatives through the credit cycle management framework.
- Collaborate with credit systems support team to implement key credit policy criteria.
- Escalate significant risk issues to business management and take appropriate remedial actions.
- Ensure timely completion of RCSAs and follow up on identified control gaps.
- Monitor and follow up on issues/action plans arising from risk assessments, regulatory inspections, or other risk events.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10–12+ years of experience in Consumer Banking, with at least 5 years of experience in Credit Cards – Credit Risk Policy.
- Exposure to the Digital Lending space is desirable.
- Professional qualification, graduate or postgraduate degree, preferably in business, accountancy, economics, finance, etc.
- Sound domain knowledge of the unsecured loans business and market.
- Good analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of financial services/banking industry and credit evaluation methods.
- Exposure to Digital channels, Fintechs, and online credit dispensation tools.
- Understanding of regulatory guidelines on credit issued by RBI, MAS, and local laws/regulations.
- Knowledge of various banking products and associated risks.
