- Conduct initial consultations, physical examinations, and take detailed patient histories.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, ensuring appropriate care plans are developed and executed.
- Monitor patients’ progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Provide follow-up care, ensuring patient recovery and addressing any complications.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work, imaging, and other medical assessments.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies based on diagnostic results and patient conditions.
- Perform basic procedures, such as suturing, wound care, and other minor interventions, under supervision.
- Work closely with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
- Consult with senior physicians on complex cases or when additional expertise is required.
- Attend and contribute to patient rounds and case discussions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including histories, examinations, and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements related to patient confidentiality and documentation.
- Participate in emergency care and resuscitation efforts when needed.
- Triage patients in the emergency room and initiate immediate care for acute conditions.
