ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To strategize, identify & manage all physical security programs for India.  To build & develop an effective security function that partners & supports the overall growth of India. To ensure implementation is in line with regulatory standards and group policies. Educate, train & implement the global physical security programs through the delivery of professional and highly valued security services to business. Assist in conducting investigations into financial crimes, fraud control, and misconduct and security breaches. To act as understudy to the Bank’s Chief Security Officer.

Job Duties & responsibilities

  • Planning & executing electronic Security projects at the corporate offices, Branches, ATMs, and Data Centers.
  • Localize & customize appropriate security policies, standards, and procedures to deal with possible range of threats for specified policies & standards which are to be reviewed on a regular basis.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs by contract management & administration of any security contracts/projects.
  • Develop a continuous security risk assessment program. Inspect of new and existing buildings, offices, retail branches and outsourced service providers’ facilities which include design specification of security system installations in accordance with Country policies and standards.
  • Constantly monitor & analyse all security incidents, violations & breaches.
  • Oversee the implementation progress of the security enhancement recommendations.
  • Site security review for all outsourcing of functions and processes (relating to physical security) and periodic reviews.
  • Establish and maintain a liaison network of security contacts in law enforcement, government, security vendors and businesses. Develop and maintain these relationships to enable our business units to act proactively or react swiftly to any developing threats.
  • Undertake other tasks as directed by Head, corporate Security.
  • Provide education, training, and support to the businesses on relevant issues and developments as appropriate.
  • Assist with development of infrastructure both technology and people-wise.
  • Liaise with the Regulators and establish a cordial rapport. Correspond with the regulators for all security issues.
  • Proactively forge relationships with a broad range of business areas and third parties to encourage the best quality output and service from the team.
  • Share know-how and experience with other security managers within the team and elsewhere within the DBS security function, including participation in any global practice groups relevant to role and expertise.
